Bottles for Edward Anthony, 308 Broadway, New York
1850s (early to mid)

Bottles
Private collection of Rory Martin

Both bottles are pontilled (1 open, 1 Iron). The taller bottle measures 2 1/4" square at the base and is 7 7/8" tall. The shorter bottle measures 2 3/4" square at the base and is about 7 3/8" tall. The shorter bottle appears to have been made in the mold of a taller bottle since some of the letters are cut off or missing. So, it probably came in a larger size. Based on the shape of the bottles they may have held a Toning & Fixing Solution or Developer.
