View of Athens from the Eastern base of the Acropolis 1848. This is looking East and shows hills in the background and very few buildings at the time. Some houses and churches, in the foreground, with the Royal Palace in the middle distance.
 
George Wilson Bridges took many calotypes. The daguerreotypes in the National Media Museum, UK are copies of his calotype prints. Thus they are almost certainly not by Bridges.
