At the centre there is a stone building with an open arcade and two small bell towers. There is a smaller building beside it to the right. In front of these buildings there is a marble platform with a sunken bath and a grape garden with a walkway constructed from vines. The Taj Mahal can be seen in the distance to the right.
This is one of a series of photographs from a published volume documenting the tour the Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII, made of India in 1875-76. Included in the volume are a number of photographs of notable sites visited by the Prince. A fete with illuminations was held in this part of the fort in honour of the Prince's visit.
