The photographer obviously had a booth at the fair and wanted to give his customers a souvenir to remember the occasion. The sign appears to be attached the bottom half of the stand of his headrest. According to the previous owner, who was a columnist for Doll World, this photo was published in the magazine in 1980's and has been in her collection since late 1970/ early 1980's. She identified the numerous toys as two African-American black commercially printed rag dolls, an elephant named Baby, two printed dogs on the little boy's shoulders, and two lovely bisque head dolls. The commercially printed rag dolls look to be Art Fabric Mills, or by a similar company.
