The house of Lord Frederic Leighton (1830-1896) in London is decorated using his remarkable collection of Iznik ceramic tiles brought back from his travels to the Middle East. The house was constructed between 1865 and 1881 and some of the designs by architect George Aitchison are held within the RIBA collections at the Victoria & Albert Museum.
