Stereographs project Business locations Salem, OR, US Springfield, VT, US [8-9] [Prob. C.S. Pike, G.B. Perrin] "Photographers"; view on CM of street with
construction; view of factory on CM; view of
aftermath of flood, on large CM. No city given
but may be Salem, OR where there were a couple
of other "Pike &..." partnerships. Pike said to
have come from White River Junction, VT, worked
alone there, 83; Perrin said to have worked
alone in Springfield, VT at some point; 2 views
seen by Pike & Perrin with address of
Springfield, VT, "Lowell Lake Series"; city
scy., boats on lake on orange/magenta CMs. The
Pike/Perrin relationship needs study; there may
be confusion between Salem, OR & Salem, MA; it
seems more plausible that the partnership moved
within New England, rather than to the Pacific
Northwest. T.K. Treadwell & William C. Darrah (Compiled by), Wolfgang, Sell (Updated by), 11/28/2003, Photographers of the United States of America, (National Stereoscopic Association)
