B/L, #s to 100 but only 80 titles listed, on
CMs, incl. hunting, tourist groups, scy., ~70s;
list identical to the one issued by J. Crissman
who claimed he photog. them, so images are prob.
by Crissman; CO scy. scarce, also worked in
other formats. B. OH 51, came to Denver ~ 68.
He and brother George worked first as assts. in
W.G. Chamberlain's studio; brother prob. was the
Geo. W. Kirkland also operated alone in Denver
in the 70s. Relationship if any to the G.C.
Kirkland who was pres. of The International
Photographic Exchange in the early 00s is
unknown. Brothers opened own studio in Denver
74; Charles bought studio of D.D. Dare in
Cheyenne, WY 82. By 92 began manufacturing
photo paper in Cheyenne; moved plant to Denver
94. Sold Cheyenne studio to W.G. Walker in 95.
Several years later the mfg. plant was sold to
the Eastman Co. Opened studio in Denver 01,
