Stereographs project Business locations New York City, NY, US [7] "Published by..."; 639 Broadway; only output
seen is several scarce series of images of
statuary, most on blue/blue RMs, some on
yellow/white RMs: "Rogers Groups", B/L, 22
listed, 3 seen, carefully bearing the original
68 CR line of John Rogers; set of 3 of
"Zenobia"; "Dreaming Iolanthe", butter
sculpture; "Treasures of Statuary by Eminent
Sculptors", B/L lists 22, 4 seen, all are
good-quality copies of original views by William
England of London but not credited to him. An
H.H. Wood of Deposit, NY is reported to have
issued views of Zenobia, so some relationship
likely exists, poss. same man. Although many of
his issued views are copies, in some cases he
credited the original CR, so he must have been
more ethical than most re-printers. T.K. Treadwell & William C. Darrah (Compiled by), Wolfgang, Sell (Updated by), 11/28/2003, Photographers of the United States of America, (National Stereoscopic Association)
