Goa. In 1900 he sends a photograph to Lord Curzon asking permission to take a group portrait of the Viceroy, with the following note on the reverse:
Wellcome His Excellency Lord Curzon in Goa. View taken by the undersigned in 1884 of His Excellency Lord Ripon while leaving Old City of Goa at Caes dos Vice-Reis. His Excellency Lord Curzon kindly favoring the undersigned with a group or views at Colem Station (W.I.P. Ry) will humbly wait with his old camera there. Your Lordship’s most obedient servant, Joseph J. Pereira. Margao 10-11-1900.[1]
