photog. Early advts. mention only P.S. Weaver,
but actual views show both names. Issued scarce
but fine series of "Weaver's Photographic Gems",
prob. 65-68, of Gettysburg, Hanover, and York
areas. "Gems of the Battlefield of Gettysburg",
#s to 107; made some SIs of Camp Letterman, date
uncertain, prob. July/Aug. 63; views of city
sts., battlefield area, etc. Rarely identified
as "Weaver Bros." Prob. related to S. Weaver
who operated gallery in Gettysburg in 50s and
