Stereographs project Business locations Berlin, Germany Paris, France *[6-7] "Photographer, Publisher and Distributor"; issued many fine series, both scenic & genre; "Puss in Boots"; "Aquarium of Berlin"; "California (N.A.), Central Pacific Railroad (Sierra Nevada)"; "Churches & Temples of Germany"; "German University Towns"; "Dresden & Swiss Saxony", etc.; total output probably near 1,000 images, mostly on red/magenta RMs, labels often bilingual or trilingual. Genre views especially notable, well executed & finely tinted. Main office in Berlin; H. Plaut was agent in Paris. Likely there were actually several photographers for the co. but all are unknown; the organization consistently produced some of the highest quality views made not only in Germany but in all Europe.
