Stereographs project Business locations Portland, OR, US [7-8] [Buchtel was in partnership with E.H.
Stolte in Salem and Portland, 73-78, & Cardwell
in Portland] Stolte, Buchtel, and Morse, at were
91 & 93 First; firm listed as pictures, frames,
moulding, etc. Jos. Buchtel also listed himself
as "Photographer" at the 91 First St. address;
undoubtedly related to Samuel. Although all the
"Buchtel" work in OR has traditionally been
attributed to Samuel, the current identification
of a Jos. Buchtel as "Photographer" at the same
address, may mean that both were involved. T.K. Treadwell & William C. Darrah (Compiled by), Wolfgang, Sell (Updated by), 11/28/2003, Photographers of the United States of America, (National Stereoscopic Association)
