The work of Adolphe Braun (1812–1877) was continued by his son Gaston Braun through a number of companies including Adolphe Braun et Cie whch was founded in 1876. With the assistence of Louis Pierson and Léon Clément the company developed and in 1889 took the name Braun, Clément et Cie. This continued until 1910 when the name became Braun et Cie.
The company was a major supplier of reproductions of art and scenic views.Preparing biographies
