Photographic Depot, Allahabad.
To Photograaphers.
In issuing my sixth price list. Which may be had on application, I have pleasure in informing photographers that I have recently erected very SPACIOUS PREMISES, and now, employ an increased staff of EUROPEAN ASSISTANTS to facilitate the execution of orders in my greatly enlarged business. I have just returned from Europe, and visited the establishments of ther first manufacturers of Photographic Goods, and have arranged for the receiving of every novelty of real utility which may be introduced in connection with the practice of Photography. In every instance are my goods purchased direct from the maker, and on the best terms. The Public will receive the advantage of this, and, at the same time may depend on what is most important in photography, viz., - receiving articles FRESH and GENUINE. I would remind photographers that this is the ONLY ESTABLISHMENT in India which keeps a LARGE and COMPLETE STOCK OF PHOTOGRAPHIC GOODS. Parties who import occasionally small lots of photographic goods may be able to sometimes undersell me in some articles, but I can safely challenge comparison, as a whole, with any other house. The HIGH QUALITY of my goods is now universally acknowledged, and in this, the EIGHTH YEAR of the Photographic Depot, I am resolved that its reputation shall be not only maintained, but strengthened.
The IMMEDIATE EXECUTION OF ORDERS – so important to a photographer, who may be kept from work by want of certain articles – has always been a leading feature in this Establishment. Goods are, so far as is practicable, desdpatched on the day the order is received. It may sometimes prevent delay if the best route by which the goods should be forwarded is specified. The greatest care is exercised in packing: this department is in very experienced hands.
TERMS: - Cash with every order, except to known customers, who may pay within a month after date of purchase. DRAFTS, which may be drawn on Allahabad or Calcutta, should be made payable in my own name.
J. L. LYELL,
