V. & E. Pont were Commercial photographers in Calcutta in the late 1860s and through the 1870s. The relationship between V. & E. is unknown. Ten of V. Pont’s photographs were used to illustrate the ‘Appendix to Report of the Commissioners for making improvements in the Port of Calcutta.’

V. Pont, district engineer, East Indian Railway and E. Pont, inspector. 10 prints by V. Pont are pasted into the Appendix to Report of the Commissioners for making improvements in the Port of Calcutta...1873-74. A Mr Pont also showed a number of photographs at the Bengal Photographic Society Exhibition of 1872.[1]
 
E. Pont listed as clerk in Locomotive Department of East Indian Railway, Jamalpur, 1874.
