Preparing biographies We know nothing of Dr. Campbell save for his two calotype views of Egypt, which were shown in the 1853 exhibition of the Mechanics’ Institution in Aberdeen. These were contributed by an A. Ewing, Esq., whose identity is also a mystery, although we know that he displayed some views by Maxime Du Camp as well. Roger Taylor & Larry J.
