uncommon, loc. scy. on RMs, some numbered in
negs. with #s to 82, 1 seen with owner notation
of 1874; "Tioga & Vicinity", B/L of 64, local
scy., mostly rural; views exist showing both
ext/int. of his studio & his photographic cart.
Succeeded by J.H. Baldwin whose name was added
to some views. His business locations & timing
are unclear; the majority of views seen are of
PA which was apparently his base early in
career; prob. worked in NJ later for some
extended period but both of his NJ series are
scarce & all of them bear his Tioga, PA imprint.
