Taurines was a commercial studio in Bombay from 1885 - 1902. Whether Taurines is the name of a photographer or just the name given to the studio, it is hard to say as there is no record of a first name. As a result nobody knows of the origins. Taurines claim to fame was an extensive photographic record of the construction of the Victoria Dock, Bombay. Taurines was in partnership for a short time, 1891 - 1892, with Charles Nicond under the name of Taurines, Nicond & Co.Preparing biographies

Photographer at Bombay 1885-1902, with studio at 67 Medows Street (57 Medows Street from 1898); with additional studio at Pune (Poona), 1885-90; briefly in partnership with Charles Nicond as Taurines, Nicond and Co., 1891-2; Taurines appears to have left Bombay in about 1901. He made an extensive documentation of the construction of Victoria Dock, Bombay, 1885-8.
