[5-7] *[Franklin White; also worked in Lancaster with Luther White as White Bros.] "Manufacturer of Stereoscopic Views". Early area photog.; started as dag. artist, 50s; Weller took over studio in 60s. Issued scarce views in several groups: "White Mountain Scenery", "Photographic Views of American Scenery", "Photographic Views from Mt. Washington & Vicinity & the Franconia Range", "...'s Photographic Views for 1860, 2nd Series", "White Mountain Resorts: the Glen House, views in Gorham, NH & Franconia Notch"; "Views In & Around Lancaster"; prob. issued 150+ images, CR 59 & 60; brother Luther White sometimes assisted informally or formally as White Bros. and was usually the one who CR the view. Covered mainly NH, VT, MA, 1 reported of Washington, DC, rare ones of Quebec. Made many fine views on glass, others on SCMs, many same as glass view images; 2 lists exist. Card views less common and unfortunately most seen are badly faded. Imprint also seen as "& Co.". B. 13.
