Presumably G. Ewing, Honorary Assistant Examiner, Public Works Department Accounts, 24 Chowringhee, Calcutta, listed in the 1895 edition of Thackers.
 
Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society, Fellow of the Royal Society Author of A handbook of photography for amateurs in India (Calcutta and London, 1895, 2nd edition, 1909). This comprehensive volume had its origins in a series of articles by Ewing, entitled The Indian Amateur Photographer, contributed by him to the Journal of the Photographic Society of India. Editor of St Veronica. A Journal of Photography (W. Newman and Co., Calcutta, vols. I-III, 1898-1900).[1]
