A German visual artist who repurposes and recontextualizes vernacular images. By the collection, editing and then displaying the images in exhibitions and his numerous books he gives them new meaning. In his 2008 exhibition at the International Center for Photography his exhibition consisted of 100 framed pages showing the front pages of newspaper from around the world all made on 12 September, 2001 the day after the attacks of 911.Preparing biographies
