[5-0] [Isaac Rehn] "Rehn Gallery of Photography"; listed 58-00; pub rare [3 seen] stereo views attributed to "Dr. Fitzgibbon" of Indian ruins at Copan, Honduras; views are same as those made by Salvin of England which were pub. 63 by Smith, Beck & Beck of London; which man was the real photog. unknown but Salvin's look more like originals. 2 studio views of women seen, prob. stage performers; made mainly SI formats. Henry Odiorne also operated from Rehn's studio 59-61. Was painter before becoming photog.; held ¬ interest in Cutting's ambrotype patent & exhibited ambros at the Institute of American Manufactures in 56. Involved in photolithography from 58. Imprint also seen as "& Son".
