Stereographs project Business locations Baskingridge, NJ, US [6-7] "Published by..."; issued rare [3] loc.
views, all city streets. Also issued "Views in
the Catskills in 1866, 1667" which are rare, on
ivory SCMs, B/L of 81 printed on a large paster.
The Catskill images are especially important
since many are of scenes and hotels not covered
by other photogs. in area. All of them seen
seem to be the same as those issued by Fifield
of NH; many are "sister images" and a few are
identical. Neither set of views looks pirated,
and the actual source of images is uncertain. T.K. Treadwell & William C. Darrah (Compiled by), Wolfgang, Sell (Updated by), 11/28/2003, Photographers of the United States of America, (National Stereoscopic Association) |
