Names: | | Dates: | 1810 - 1867 (ca) | Born: | France, Lot-et-Garonne, Dausse | Active: | Algeria | Born in France and went to Algeria in 1847 working first as a framer and later as a Daguerreotypist. In 1858 he became a member of the Société Française de Photographie (SFP) with number 003. By around 1860 he had formed a partnership in Algiers with Julie Geiser, the widow of Lucien-Jacob Geiser who had died in 1852. The firm of Alary & Geiser became one of the most significant studios in Algeria.
