Subscriptions Lives and Works in Aljezur (Algarve) and Lisbon. He studied photography at Ar.Co, in Lisbon Presently manager of 1000olhos - Imagem e Comunicação (a photography and design agency).
In recent years he has been paying special attention to the Portuguese Southwest, specially to the area covered by the St. Vincent Coast and published some books about this area: Sea Warriors, 1998; Uncommon Places, 1999; In-Depth Work, 2001; Alembics and Alchemists, 2007.
Participated in several group and solo exhibitions since 1993, namely: Centro Cultural de Belém, Lisbon (solo exhibition, 1998), Galerie Thierry Marlat, Paris (group exhibition, 1999), Museu Nacional de História Natural, Lisbon (solo exhibition, 2000), Museu da Imagem de Braga (solo exhibition, 2000), Ministério das Finanças, Lisbon solo exhibition, 2001),Museu de Serralves, Porto (group exhibition, 2002), Comptoir du Marais, Paris (group exhibition, 2004).
