(Active in Mexico 1850s-1864) Early photographer of French origin, with studio in Calle 5 de la Santa Escuela n°4 in Orizaba, then an industrial and prosperous city, on the route between Mexico City and Veracruz. He provided photographs to Julio Michaud who published several albums titled Vistas de Mexico. Olivier Debroise mentions in his book Fuga Mexicana that François Aubert acquired Amiel’s studio in 1864, then located in Mexico City 2a calle San Francisco n°7.Preparing biographies
