[7-8] *[Loudolph Hensel] "Photographed and Published by..."; prolific & generally excellent regional worker; issued several series: "A Ride over the Penna. Coal Co.'s Gravity Road into The Coal Regions", "Stereoscopic Views of Honesdale, Penna."; "Beautiful Scenery of Pike Co., Pa."; "Views of Hawley, Wayne Co."; "Views of Carbondale", etc.; several series along railroads in the area. Dozens of B/Ls, #s run to 2056 but actual production probably less, ~1,400, mainly PA. Made some NY scy. when at Port Jervis, but only NYC view seen is from his very rare "Views of New York City" series on orange/pink CMs, likely issued quite late; had B/L of 8 views, mostly of bridges, some city bldgs. Varied coverage, mostly city/rural scenics, mining and farm activities, fishing, etc., $2.00/dozen. Also made SI formats ranging from CDVs to cabinets, studio portraits, some images printed as postcards from stereo halves. Seems to have been most active in stereo from early 70s into 80s. B. NYC 1/29/49, to Port Jervis 66, listed as photog. 72-78; to Hawley 78, active until his D. in 27. Expert & major collection of views, Mr. Dave Wood.
