John Falconer, British Library A Biographical Dictionary of 19th Century Photographers in South and South-East Asia | Amateur, India
Son of Lieut.-Col. David Barr, Bombay Army, and his wife Mary; educated Addiscombe, 1830; Bombay Army; entered 8th Bombay Native Infantry 1834;[1] Lieutenant-Colonel, Bombay Staff Corps, 1861 to death.
His prints of scenery around Bombay were shown to the Bombay Photographic Society in 1856. He was a Council Member of the Society in 1857.
