| Active: | Brasil / Uruguay | A French priest who sailed on the training ship L’Orientale, captained by Augustin Lucas, from Nantes in December 1839 taking with him one of the earliest daguerreotype cameras by Alphonse Giroux. On 17th January 1840 he photographed in Rio de Janiero in Brasil taking views of the Imperial Palace, the Candelaria Market and a fountain designed by Mestre Valentim. The following month he was in Montevideo in Uruguay.Preparing biographies
