John Falconer, British Library A Biographical Dictionary of 19th Century Photographers in South and South-East Asia | Commercial, India
Photographer and general merchant at Darjeeling, 1870-85. After Phillips' death the business was managed by his widow Mrs E. Phillips and an assistant H.C. Stevens. Views by Phillips shown at the Bengal Photographic Society exhibition of 1872.[1]
