John Falconer, British Library A Biographical Dictionary of 19th Century Photographers in South and South-East Asia | Madras, India
At the 1860-1 Madras Photographic Society Exhibition,
‘Mr Rohde exhibits two very good views at Ootacamund printed from collodion negatives taken by Mr W. Scott. One of these is a view of the Church and burying ground well focussed and printed; the other is a view of Mr Rohde’s houses...There are a few defects in the sky, but the toning and printing are admirable.’[1]
