Worked in partnership of Armstrong, Beere & Hime in Toronto, 55-61 and just with Daniel Beere in Toronto, 50s; B. 7/28/22, Dublin, Ireland; to Canada 51; primarily civil engineer and better known today as a painter; As early as 56 wrote that he took a great many stereos; was likely the photog. for views pub. by the partnerships; made views of Niagara & Toronto area late 50s, Lake Superior 62. Won first prize for best landscape views at Prov. exhib., 62; submitted Lake Superior views to the Dublin exhib., 65; gave up photog. in late 60s. No views known under his sole imprint. Listed in Toronto 64-70; D. Toronto 14. 12 views under imprint of "Armstrong & Co.", listed for sale by Toronto Stereoscope Depot 9/58.
