About the Author
Michael Flomen was born in the 50's in Montreal. For the past decade he has been applying what has been referred to as "his strong American vision with a European sensibility," to photographs taken throughout the United States, Canada and the Continent. He has exhibited in museums and galleries throughout the world: Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Canada, and the United States. Besides exhibiting a highly aesthetic vision in his work, Michael Flomen is a highly respected master craftsman, being responsible for the printing of the J Henri Lartigue exhibition for America in 1975. His first book of photographs, Details was published in the United States and Canada in 1980. Still Life Draped Stone is Michael Flomen's first collection of photographs to be published throughout the world.
