French-born photographer active in Peru from 1863 until the late 1800s and the studio Courret Hermanos continued until 1935 with an archives of 150,000 glass negatives. A collection of 54,000 of these is now held by the Biblioteca Nacional del Perú.

*[Eugenio & Aquiles Courret] "Publisher"; "Fotografos"; "Vistas Del Peru"; active early 60s to mid-70s; views of Peru scarce [6], most seen are of Lima scenes, people; those of La Paz rare, single one seen; also reported to have worked as travelling photogs. in Chile. Made small SI prints, many CDV size which are somewhat more common, including surprisingly good interior views of Presidential Palace, churches. Also seen as Courret Hermanos.
