| Active from the 1860s to the 1880s and served as an assistant to Andrew J. Russell when he was the photographer for the Union Pacific Railroad. He later purchased Russell’s negatives from the Union Pacific Railroad and published them under his own imprint. At times he published pirated views of photographs taken by others including Joshua Crissman and H. B. Calfee.Preparing biographies
