Eddie Adams (1933, 12 June - 2004, 19 September) was born - US, PA, New Kensington. American Pulitzer-Winning photojournalist. He is particularly remembered for his 1968 photograph of the Vietnamese General [Nguyen Ngoc] Loan shooting a prisoner in a Saigon Street at the height of the Vietnam War. H.C. Anderson (1911, 12 June - 1998) was born - US, MS, Nitta Yuma. Founded the Anderson Photo Service in 1947 and recorded the everyday life of the once properous African American community in the small town of Greenville, Mississippi, and the surrounding region through the upheavals of the Civil Rights years. 
  
Werner Braun (1918, 12 June - ) was born - Germany, Nuremberg. German-born photographer who emigrated to Israel in 1946.

Weegee (1899, 12 June - 1968, 26 December) was born - Austria [now Poland], Zloczew - (Different sources give different locations such as Lemburg in the Ukraine). American freelance photographer with an incredible ability to take photographs at crime scenes in New York. 
  
Gustav Fritsch (1838, 5 March - 1927, 12 June) died. German anthropologist who took portraits of Xhosa leaders in South Africa (1863-1866). In 1868 he took part in an expedition to Aden to observe the solar eclipse of 18 August. In 1874 he went to Isfahan to observe the Transit of Venus.
