Micky Allan (1944, 1 April - ) was born - Australia, Melbourne. Australian photographer and painter - who drew and painted on photographs with colored pencils, watercolor, gouache and oils. 
  
Lázaro Blanco (1938, 1 April - ) was born - Mexico, Chihuahua, Ciudad Juárez. Mexican photographer. 
  
Etienne Carjat (1828, 1 April - 1906) was born - France, Ain, Fariens. French industrial designer, caricaturist, writer and photographer. His portrait of the French author Charles Baudelaire is probably his most famous photograph. 
  
Max Ernst (1891, 2 April - 1976, 2 April) was born - Germany, Brühl, nr. Cologne. German painter, collagist, and author. 
  
Nigel Henderson (1917, 1 April - 1985, 15 May) was born - England, London, St. John's Wood. British photographer. 
  
Daniel Masclet (1892, 1 April - 1969, 16 September) was born - France, Blois. French Cellist and photographer who worked as the technical assistant for Baron de Meyer at Harper‘s Bazaar. He also wrote and taught widely on the aesthetics of photography.
