Solomon Nunes Carvalho (1815, 27 April - 1897, 21 May) was born - US, SC, Charleston. American-born Jewish painter and photographer of Spanish-Portuguese descent. He accompanied the 1853-1854 expedition of the explorer John C. Frémont through the territories of Kansas, Colorado, and Utah searching for a railroad route to the Pacific.More... 
  
Bruno Chalifour (1956, 27 April - ) was born - France, Limoges. French-born photographer, educator and photo-historian. 
  
Peter Keetman (1916, 27 April - 2005, 3 August) was born - Germany, Wupperthal-Elberfeld. In April 1953 he photographed a Volkswagen factory and this series is amongst his most famous work.
