Stereoscopic daguerreotype of a still life vanitas display, with a skull, hourglass drawing compass, and a pair of spectacles resting on an open book. The daguerreotype plates are in a black mount with two rectangular arched windows. This is glazed in a passe-partout frame. A Carpenter and Westley label is on the verso of the frame.
