Keystone View Company n.d. 0369, A group of German officers [Front] / 14506 Part of the Czar's millions
Stereocard, front and back Private collection of Ralph Reiley (Ralph Reiley, 14 July 2021) Here is a curious photo from Keystone's first World War group of views that is wrong on several levels. First, on the front it is Keystone 10369, A group of German officers. On the back it is Keystone 14506 Part of the Czar's millions, with text about a large group of Russian soldiers. A miss-matched front and rear of the stereo views. The German officers are really one policeman, one officer and four enlisted men from 1901 during the Boxer Rebellion, not WW1 as implied. The rear of the card is also a recycled photo, from the Russo-Japanese war of 1905, not 1914 as indicated by the date on the front.
