Album with gilded cuts in a green band of sheep leather with letters in gold, with Indian photographs from the possession of pharmacist Specht-Grijp, who returned to the Netherlands from Batavia in 1865. The album contains 25 sheets of cardboard with one or more photos inserted on both sides, a total of 77 photographs. This album contains a photo of an event from 1869 and must therefore be composed in that year or later. Most photos of houses, landscapes and village views in Java in the album contain captions in two different manuscripts.
