Herbert Bayer (1900-1985) was a graphic designer, trained at the Bauhaus with Moholy, who incorporated photographs, rather than drawings and paintings, into his work. Bayer constructed highly geometric studio compositions with a deep sense of plastic (three-dimensional) space, rather than linear space, that relates to Moholy's idea of fotoplastik.
