Margaret Bourke-White's photograph of the "living dead of Buchenwald", April 1945, depicts the conditions of survivors at Buchenwald concentration camp, near Weimar, Germany. Part of an exhibition created and distributed in 1977 by the Anti-Defamation League of B'nai B'rith. Using black and white photos and text, the posters depict Jewish life in pre-Holocaust Europe, the rise of Nazism and Anti-Semitism, discrimination, persecution, deportation, life and death in ghettos and concentration camps, liberation, and the Nuremberg trials.
