Resorcinol (CAS# 108-46-3, 1,3-Benzenediol, MP. 109-111C), crystals grown from solvent film. Uses of resorcinol are many and include tanning, photography, making resins, dyes, laminates and adhesives, and in medications. Crossed polars, oblique illumination.
