From the estate of Carroll Alexander; probably a photo of one of his stage designs. Alexander trained with such eminent designers as Norman Bel Geddes, Robert Edmond Jones and Lee Simonson. He designed stage shows for Fanchon & Marco, the largest professional dance school in Hollywood in the 1920s and 30s and prominent producers of stage shows where Joan Crawford, Dorothy LaMour, Judy Garland, Doris Day, Bing Crosby and many others started their careers. Alexander was later a theatre scenic designer associated with the Palo Alto Community Theatre for over 25 years beginning in 1934.
