A double portrait of these two members of the gang, propped up, showing their wounds. This is a composite image made up of two separate negatives. The image is a variant of the portraits in the previous lot; for example here Styles' mouth is open wider. The faces are very clear and seem almost alive. "Styles" and "Miller" are written in pen on the top of the prints. A pen circle has been made around the bullet hole in Miller's chest. 3 5/8" x 4 5/8" gelatin-silver print on a 5 3/8" x 6 ยข" gray mount that has cut edges, with Sumner & Son blindstamp.(Larry Gottheim)
