I photographed Christine Dakin of the Graham Company many times over the years… a great dancer, great person and close friend. In the late 80's after the death of Martha, four of the lead dancers from the company formed a new dance group, the Bugalisi-Forman Company. Instant success… this image is from an unpublished study choreographed by Donlin Forman and performed in our studio in Sorrento Valley, perhaps in early 1988, after a performance at the Civic in town. A late night, but very many exceptional images came from this. The negatives survived the fire, by some fluke, and are on the top of my list.
