Stereograph shows a group of women kneeling and standing in formation, holding long pointed sticks or spears, forming a unit of "home guards".
 
Formerly attributed to Alexander Gardner based on stamp "A.G." on another copy. Current attribution to Pease based on information from the dealer, who subsequently purchased another copy with the photographer's identification.
