Hand-coloured photograph of the Princess Royal's bridesmaids. Standing from left to right: Lady Cecilia Molyneux (1838-1910), Lady Victoria Noel (1839-1916), Lady Constance Villiers (1840-1922), Lady Susan Murray (1837-1915), Lady Emma Stanley (1835-1928), Lady Katherine Hamilton (1840-74), Lady Cecilia Gordon-Lennox (1838-1910) and Lady Susan Pelham Clinton (1814-89). They are wearing white dresses and gloves and have pink roses in their hair and as decorations on their dresses.

This photograph is not attributed to any particular photographer on the print, but it is known that two photographers at least were employed to photograph during the wedding event - T. R. Williams and Leonida Caldesi. This photograph is by the latter.

By permission of Queen Victoria, this photograph was exhibited at the French Gallery in Pall Mall for a few days in March 1858.

This photograph was exhibited in 'Presenting an Image: photographs from the Royal Photographic Collection Windsor Castle' in 1995 (exh no. 5).
