Antoine Claudet
1850s (ca)
Portrait of Michael Faraday (back)

Carte de visite, back
Private collection of Noel Chanan
Mr. Claudet begs to inform

Mrs Evans

that OLD FADED DAGUERREOTYPES AND
STEREOSCOPIC SLIDES can be RESTORED to
their ORIGINAL perfection and Copied,
Reduced for Lockets, &c., or Enlarged to any
size. He takes the Liberty of calling attention
to this fact, as OLD DAGUERREOTYPES are
frequently considered worthless when in
reality the portrait on the plate is PERFECT,
and merely obscured by an atmospheric deposit
which Mr. Claudet can REMOVE AND RESTORE
by his chemical process.

Faded Photographs, of any description,
can also be Copied and Enlarged by his
NEW PROCESS.
